London N22

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

London N22 is a London postal district

In the alphabetical assignment of districts, N22 corresponded to Wood Green. At the time this was a borough within the administrative county of Middlesex, but since the creation of the Greater London Council in 1965 it has formed part of the London Borough of Haringey.

Unlike many other postal districts, N22 actually did correspond fairly closely to the boundaries of the borough. Its western part, often called Alexandra Park because of its proximity to the Alexandra Palace, has always tended to look more towards Muswell Hill as a commercial centre even though it was within the old Wood Green borough boundaries.

In the property market, N22 is not one of the more desirable postal districts, though there are sharp variations between parts of the district.
