Logan University has been graduating Doctors of Chiropractic. Logan offers its students a curriculum taught by certified faculty. It resides on a 112 acre campus in west suburban St. Louis, Missouri.
Logan , which has more than 7,000 alumni throughout the world, is accredited by the Council on Chiropractic Education and the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
Student interns from Logan, under the guidance of licensed doctors of chiropractic, provide health care for patients at Logan College Health Centers on the Chesterfield campus as well as seven off-campus satellite health centers. The three clinics in St. Louis County and the two clinics in St. Charles County are fee-for-service facilities.
In September 2006, Logan expanded their program offerings to include a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Sports Science and Rehabilitation. This unique advanced degree option for sports injury management will provide the experience, training and confidence that is demanded in the athletic arena.
Recently, the senior class of students at Logan College conducted a celebratory march to herald their entrance into trimester 10, the final trimester of clinical internship for student doctors of chiropractic.
Dr. George Goodman, the president of Logan College, was so offended by the sight of students marching in the hallways playing kazoos and banging on pots and pans, that he is attempting to have the organizers of this march expelled from school. He has sent several emails to the entire student body of Logan College informing them of this ongoing process, clearly intending to intimidate those students who would otherwise be compelled to speak up on the behalf of those receiving disciplinary action.
Goodman's decision to pursue this event has caused many Logan students to question his ability to relate to the student body. Logan students have felt for many years that their interests have been neglected by the institution's administration, especially under Goodman.
