Loew's Jersey Theater

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Loew's Jersey Theater opened in Jersey City, New Jersey in 1929. It was one of the five Loew's Wonder Theaters, a series of flagship Loew's movie palaces in the New York City area. It was designed by the architectural firm of Rapp and Rapp. Twinned in its later years, and then closed, it was dark for years. The theater is now under renovation, and brought back to its original single-screen form, and picture palace glory. Today it presents live events and movie revivals.
