Local Boy In The Photograph is the second single from rock band the Stereophonics taken from the debut album Word Gets Around. It was released in March 1997. It reached #51 on its first release but when re-released in February 1998 reached #14.

There are many versions of the song available, the original first release version is track 4 on the debut album Word Gets Around and on the first single release.

The remixed re-release version is only available on the re-release singles of Local Boy In The Photograph.

A semi-acoustic version recorded for Radio One was released on CD2 of the Just Looking singles.

There have also been many live versions released; the first, live from Belfort Festival, is taken from CD2 of the Traffic single. The second is live from SECC Glasgow and is on CD2 of the Moviestar single. The final version is track 10 on the first disc of Live From Dakota.
