Lo'La
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Lo'La is a spacecraft in the fictional Farscape universe.
The crew of Moya found the ship drifting in space. It turned out to be a powerful and ancient Luxan warship and Ka D'Argo "adopted" it as his own and named it after his late wife.

[edit] Operations
The ship can only be operated by a Luxan; a non-Luxan trying to operate it will trigger a self-destruct sequence. The crew learns that they can get around this in a pinch by having D'Argo's spit, urinate - or in one instance, vomit - on their hands, thus fooling the DNA readers in the controls.
The ship also responds to vocal commands given by the registered pilot (D'Argo) in Luxan.
[edit] Size
The ship is larger than a transport pod but smaller than a Maruader. It can fit at most 10-15 people depending on species. It is 12m in length.
[edit] Defenses
The ship is equipped with a cloaking device that renders it invisible to both scanners and the naked eye, and a defensive energy shield which, unlike a Peacekeeper defense screen, is solid (when the ship is empty there is a small hole in the shield that allows the owner to reach a DNA reader which will open the craft), form fitting, and invisible to the naked eye except when it is hit.
[edit] Weapons
The ship's main weapon is an energy-based weapon that can completely disintegrate a grown Leviathan when fired at maximum power, leaving no trace of the target behind.
[edit] Propulsion
It can operate both in space and in atmosphere. Unlike a transport pod it can travel for longer distances due to a higher fuel capacity.
The ship top speed is uncertain but it is faster than a transport pod. This is shown when it chased down a stolen transport pod easily.
While flying the ship is differently shaped than when it is grounded. As it takes off, large wings expand outward from the top and the landing struts retract towards the hull. This might be to make it better for atmospheric flight but the wings are shown opening often in space.
[edit] Final days
Lo'La was destroyed during the war between the Scarrans and the Peacekeepers when a Scarran warship they were hiding from detected and fired upon them. The ship's crew at the time - D'Argo and Chiana - survived the attack and the cold, suffocating vacuum of space long enough for D'Argo's son, Jothee, to save them with his own cloaked Luxan Penetrator ship nearby.
