LM-68M

LM-68M is a soviet-made four axle tram, or a streetcar. LM means «Ленинградский Моторный», which is a motor car made in Leningrad. LM68M is a further development of an LM-68 tram. The serial production began in the year of 1974 and continued till the year of 1988.

LM-68M is a wide gauge tram (1524 mm or 60 inches) it is high floor, continuously welded four axle tram. IT body differs from LM-68 body by an emphasized frame and removed glass on the roof, which created a lot of problems in usage.LM68M is identical with LM68 by its pneumatic equipment. ML-68M tram has 35 seats and is capable to transport 206 passengers being fully loaded. The sizes of LM-68M are : 15000 mm of general length, 2550 mm of width and 3170 mm of height; net wieght is 19,5 tonn. The tram is capable of working as a Multiple Traction System.

LM-68M — one side, or single ended tram. 71-881 — double ended, two-cab version of LM-68M. Used in Cherjomushki (Sayano-Shushinskaya hydro-electric station) and in St Petersburg.
