Ljuba Kristol

Ljuba Kristol (Russian: Любовь Даниэловна Кристол; May 26, 1944, Leningrad) is a woman Russian-Israeli grandmaster of correspondence chess. She is most famous for winning the ICCF Women's World Champion in correspondence chess two times: between 1978 and 1984 and between 1993 and 1998. She grew up in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg and since 1976 she lives in Israel.
Four times OTB chess champion of Israel among women.
Took part in four chess Olympiads, as a member of the Israeli team. In the Olympiad in 1976 (which took place in Haifa), Kristol won with the Israeli team the gold Olympic medal.
In 1989 Kristol participated in a zonal tournament in Haifa, and won 1st – 2nd place.
