Living Newspaper
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Living Newspaper is a style of theater created during the Federal Theatre Project. Plays were presented as documentaries on social issues of the day including labor, race relations, and health care. The theatres sought to both help people recognize the social problems around them and ring a clarion to action, so that they might be solved. The most significant playwright of this style was Arthur Arent.
