Liverpool High School

Liverpool High School is a New York public high school located on Wetzel Road in Liverpool, northwest of the city of Syracuse in the Liverpool Central School District. The high school complex is separated into two separate buildings. The Main Building houses grades 10-12 which is approximately 2,000 students. The Ninth Grade Annex houses about 800 students and is connected to Morgan Road Elementary. The Liverpool High School complex is administered by an executive principal, an associate principal, two assistant principals, and one principal administrating the Ninth Grade Annex. The current executive principal is Thomas Helmer.
In the year 2000, Liverpool High School instituted a voluntary laptop program in order to create a "continuing and connected learning community." The program now involves over 1400 students including sophomores, juniors, and seniors. All laptop courses were integrated into the following academic areas: English, Math, Social Studies, Science and Foreign Languages.
While excelling in academics, Liverpool High School also offers many athletic opportunities with over 10 sports offered for both boys and girls. The Warriors were the New York State Champions in Varsity Football in 1998. The Liverpool High School Warriors welcomed a new mascot in the year 2005. This mascot is being played by the young, energetic, and sexy Bryan Wilson.
In addition, the school is renouned nation-wide for their performance in the 2002 (http://www.bands.org/) Bands of America symphonic band conference in Indianapolis, Indiana. Their feature performance was a piece originally written by composer (http://www.ericwhitacre.com/) Eric Whitacre entitled October.
