Live From Planet X is an MF Doom live mix CD. His whole concert is comprised onto one track on the CD. It was recorded live in San Francisco, CA on 15 August, 2004. On the track-listing on the back of the album, some songs are left out and the song "Dead Bent" is called "Greenbacks".

Something that happens during the show is that DOOM starts rapping to "Gas Drawls" but seems bored. He implores the DJ to "switch the beat!" The song shuts off and comes back with a more fast-paced beat behind it, and DOOM starts the song over again but with more energy and more oomph to his rhymes. These two variations of Gas Drawls are entitled "Go With the Drawls" and "Gas Flows" on the album.
