Live Phish Vol. 15 was recorded live at The Omni in Atlanta, Georgia, on Halloween night, 1996.

It marks the third of four legendary Halloween shows in which Phish dressed up in a "musical costume" by performing an album from another artist in its entirety. The band, along with a horn section and Santana percussionist Karl Perazzo, unveiled a complete performance of the Talking Heads's Remain in Light sandwiched in between two sets of Phish's own music.

This performance is seen by many fans as the dawn of a new era for Phish because of the album's groove-based, funk-oriented sound. After the performance, the band traded in their complex, busy improvisational style for simpler, groove-based beats and riffs. The performance is noted by the band as their favorite Halloween performance ever, and considered by many fans as the band's most important Halloween performance ever.
