[edit] Southeast Emergency Communication

I've added the "prod" template to the article Seecom, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Importance). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree, discuss the issues raised at Talk:Seecom. If you remove the dated prod template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] Historic Third Ward

Hello, I'm curious as to why you chose to revert my removal of a copyvio for the article Historic Third Ward from [1]? The reason is clearly stated in the edit summary. Thanks! 72.131.44.247 19:06, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Talk page archiving

Hi! Just to let you know that I've archived my talk page. It was indeed very long, and I'd been planning to archive it for a long time, but just kept postponig it. Thanks for telling me! Ronline 07:51, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hi

I noticed you created a lot of new pages lately, some of them on elementery school, usually these schools are not considered notable, but high schools are. Don't ask me why, I have no idea. So these articles are probably going to be either proded or afded pretty soon, just thought I'd give you a heads up. Happy editing. -- Eivindt@c 06:51, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

I'll make my articles notable (in a bit of time) and make them worthy of keeping, it will just take a bit. I was wondering about Middle Schools though? what's the general consensus on those? Danl 07:04, 12 June 2006 (UTC)?

[edit] Wikipedia:Mediation Cabal

Hi. I read your listing on the Mediation Cabal webpage, and I would like to request your aid in a mediation. I'm not familiar with how to go about this, and I would like advice.

Thanks! Bcsurvivor 21:25, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia Research Survey Request

Hello, I am a member of a research group at Palo Alto Research Center (formerly known as Xerox PARC) studying how conflicts occur and resolve on Wikipedia. Due to your experience in conflict resolution on Wikipedia (e.g., as a member of the Mediation Cabal) we’re extremely interested in your insights on this topic. We have a survey at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=400792384029 which we are inviting a few selected Wikipedians to participate in, and we would be extremely appreciative if you would take the time to complete it. As a token of our gratitude, we would like to present you with a PARC research star upon completion. Thank you for your time.

[edit] Help!

Hello -i have been editing an article about a flamenco guitarist, that has some errors, these are discussed on the talk page of the article.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juan_Mart%C3%ADn

I was wondering if you could help mediate in this,as my citable material, from a world famous flamencologist [d e pohren] is being ignored as citable evidence,in fact i have been accused of making the information up. I dont want to start a flame war,and am stepping back from this so ask for your help in this. Thankyou.Ukbn2 19:45, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Eeggs

Actually, look at soundclick or myspace, those have their own pages, why cant eeggs have it's own? WalterWalrus3 18:58, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Also

Learn how to format, its really annoying when infoboxes overlap text. WalterWalrus3 18:58, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Apologies

I didn't know you are the only person who can decide what's notable and what's not, your slackin though, because im pretty sure Evolution games and Hat Creek don't live upto myspace's standards of notablilty. WalterWalrus3 19:09, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

(Reference for anyone checking my status) I posted a reply on his page, so if you need to take this into account, please check his talk page also. Danl 19:12, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome to Esperanza!

Welcome, Lithpiperpilot, to Esperanza! As you might know, all the Esperanzians share one important goal: the success of this encyclopedia. Within that, we then attempt to strengthen the community bonds, and be the "approachable" side of the project. All of our ideals are held in the Charter, the governing document of the association.

Now that you are a member you should read the guide to what to do now or you may be interested in some of our programs. A quite important program is Stressbusters, which seeks to support editors who have encountered any stress from their Wikipedia events, and are seeking to leave the project. So far, Esperanza can be credited with the support and retention of several users. We will send you newsletters to keep you up to date. Also, we have a calendar of special events, member birthdays, and other holidays that you can add to and follow.

In addition to these projects, several more missions of Esperanza are in development, and are currently being created at Esperanza/Proposals.

If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact Natalya by email or talk page. Consider introducing yourself at the Esperanza talk page! Alternatively, you could communicate with fellow users via our IRC channel, #wikipedia-esperanza (which is also good for a fun chat or two :). If you're new to IRC, you may find help at an IRC tutorial. I thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to work!

[edit] Re. Signature

I'm glad to help. You may try the following code:

<font style="color: black">Lithpip</font><font color="#00FF00">e</font><font style="color: blue">rpilot</font>

Which will produce this signature: Lithpiperpilot (the "rpilot" part is bold because we're on the page it links to, it won't be bold on other pages).
You may also try checking List of colors if you would like new colors for your signature. Just replace the color on the code by the Hex triplet of the color you choose. (For example, if you wish to have "Lithpip" colored burgundy, just change the code and replace "black" with "#7FFFD4", which would result in this signature:Lithpiperpilot.
I hope this helped. Feel free to contact me if you need further assistance. Best regards.--Húsönd 22:09, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

You're welcome. By the way, I noticed that your Esperanza page has a mistake (there you refer to your green "I" instead of green "e"). Regards.--Húsönd 23:33, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Mediators needed!

Hiya! I'm contacting you because you're listed on Wikipedia:Mediation Cabal as "willing to accept assigned cases". Well, we've got a bit of a backlog, and I was wondering if you'd look over the current list of new cases (I've copied it here for convenience) and tell me if you'd take any of them? I'd really appreciate it! :D

I think you might be interested in the Sweetest day and BSA cases, but if you'd like something harder you could give Nicole Kidman or Advocates for Children in Therapy a try. Thanks again! ~Kylu (u|t) 21:44, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sending Messages

How do I send messages in Wikipedia I got messages saying that I got a new message how do I send those and look at them? 72.128.36.251 03:53, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Osmena article

I just made the table aligned on column regarding (Sergio Osmeña), because its not columned on Wikipedia's qualities. --Glenncando 05:47, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Harry Hammond Hess, or should that be Harry Hammond Hess

Erm, I wasn't vandalising. I was removing wikilinking from a section heading. Have a look at this section or this one. I'm going to revert as per these. Cheers, --Plumbago 16:02, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

Further "Erm". Looks like we've got our wires crossed here. It turns out that I didn't make the edit you mentioned on my Talk page, and, in fact, you corrected said edit in exactly the way I would have (as per my style links above). I think you must have just accidentally pasted your vandalism warning on my Talk page. --Plumbago 16:07, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Uhh...THEY are wrong...not me!

In The Adventures Of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, there was a trivia fact saying that the slogan (Have it your way) was linked to mcdonalds when it was Burger King. it wasnt vandalisim, just an error fix! - This unsigned comment was added 14:22, October 25, 2006 User:C2wmaster

[edit] John Stark

Not sure why you reverted my edits - I followed the protocol of the Military History Task Force. Note that only the first word of titles is to be capitalized per Wiki MOS. Date formats should have the year followed by a comma. Also, why revert the link to second lieutenant? Please discuss! Thanks! 8th Ohio Volunteers 23:58, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] November Esperanza Newsletter

Program Feature: Admin Coaching (needs coaches!)
Admin Coaching needs coaches!!! If you are an administrator, or even a generally experienced user, do consider signing up to be a coach.

Admin Coaching, now being coordinated by HighwayCello, is a program for people who want help learning some of the more subtle aspects of Wikipedia policy and culture. People are matched with experienced users who are willing to offer coaching. The program is designed for people who have figured out the basics of editing articles; they're not newcomers any more, but they might want some help in learning new roles. In this way, Esperanza would help keep hope alive for Wikipedia because we would always be grooming the next generation of admins.

What's New?
The Tutorial Drive is a new Esperanza program! In an effort to make complicated processes on Wikipedia easier for everyone, Esperanza working to create and compile a list of tutorials about processes here on Wikipedia. Consider writing one!
A discussion on how Esperanza relates to the encyclopedia has been started; please add your thoughts.
Many thanks to MiszaBot, courtesy of Misza13, for delivering the newsletter.
 • The list of proposed programs has been updated, with some proposals being archived.
 • There is now a new program: the Tutorial Drive! Consider writing a tutorial on something you are good at doing on Wikipedia.
 • The suggestion of adding a cohesive look to all the Esperanza pages is being considered; join the discussion if you are interested!
 • In order to make a useful interlanguage welcome template, those involved in translation projects will be asked what English Wikipedia policies are most important and confusing to editors coming from other language Wikipedias.
 • A discussion of Esperanza's role in Wikipedia is being held, with all thoughts of all Esperanzians wanted!
 • Shreshth91 informed everyone that he will be leaving the Esperanza council as life is rather busy; his spot will be filled by the runner up from the last election, HighwayCello.

Although having the newsletter appear on everyone's userpage is desired, this may not be ideal for everyone. If, in the future, you wish to receive a link to the newsletter, rather than the newsletter itself, you may add yourself to Wikipedia:Esperanza/Newsletter/Opt Out List.

[edit] Thanks for the Intro

Hi Lithpiperpilot. Thanks for the intro [and the cookies ;)] I was actually a major wikipedia user prior to signing up, but one day I decided to, and here I am. --WTRiker 01:39, 18 November 2006 (UTC) Updated by WTRiker 20:48, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
