Little Wood River

Little Wood River is a 90 mile (145 km) river in south-central Idaho. It originates in the Pioneer Mountains of northern Blaine County then flows south through Little Wood River reservoir past Richfield, Idaho and then west, past Shoshone, Idaho to Big Wood River just west of Gooding, Idaho.
It is the key source of irrigation for eastern Blaine County, Idaho and most of Lincoln County, Idaho. It served as a major attraction for the first permanent settlement in that region in Carey, Idaho.
