After vanquishing a Manticore demon, Piper, Phoebe and Paige become foster parents to its orphaned half-Manticore infant. Knowing that danger is near, Chris urges the girls to vanquish the baby, but they believe that if they raise the baby with love, it will not become evil. Meanwhile, Phoebe surprises her boyfriend Jason when she blurts out her true feelings, and Paige gives Darryl an instructible body

- Manticore Demon: Manticores are vicious demons with supernatural strength and venomous claws, communicate with high-pitched cries and tend to travel in packs. Manticores bleed yellow. Sometimes manticores mate with humans to create hybrids so they can blend in. They kill their human mates after conception and raise the children as one of them. When A Manticore kills an innocent, they dig through their bodies and eat out their insides.

- The Manticore Demons in this episode are partially based on legendary creatures of the same name. However, their appearance and mating habits are dramatically different according to most legends.
- This is actor Dorian Gregory's fiftieth episode in the series.
- This is the second time that Darryl helps a Charmed One in a swat team scenerio. He previously aided Prue in the episode Sin Francisco.
- This is the first time that a human turns into a monster by experimenting, as did the father of the demon baby. It is also the first time that a human turns into a monster in order to protect someone, not because they want to be evil.
