Little Angel is the title for Ana Johnsson's sophomore effort, released on October 18, 2006 in Sweden. The lead single off the album, which carries the title "Days of Summer", was released on July 12, 2006 in Sweden. "Days of Summer" had debuted at number seven in the Swedish Singles Chart, making it her highest debut in the chart ever, without promotion of a music video. In its following week, it dropped to number-eight. The second single, "Exception", is the theme song to the Swedish thriller movie Exit. On October 19, the single landed at number ten in the Singles Chart. For more information about the film, see its page on IMDb. The album is available in the UK via Amazon.co.uk. The music video for the song can be viewed on her official Swedish web site, at YouTube or on this fansite. Johnsson has also recorded a song with Bleak, a Finnish rock band, entitled "Fate", but it's unknown if it will be included on a special edition the album. It is featured on the soundtrack of Jade Warrior and was released on October 13 in Finland. The album is available for pre-listen on the same fansite.

| We have taken inspiration from the quite typical American coat/grunge-sound, with more band feeling. But we has concurrentlely tried retain a Swedish touche in it. Above all so, we have worked on an ALBUM and not only sat and tried to may to singles. It was more as one "best of" - gadget. [...] "What If" is a favourite. It was it the first tune we 'typed' to the record. It has a good melody, but above all lies that text me hot about "hjärtat". It says a great part about me as person, about what that is going on in the frontal bone. I brood quite a lot and to be influenced a lot of what that is taking place around about myself. Somewhere, I have a childish will about and longing after a perfect world when I am reminded about that it is not it. [...] I definitely want to play more than I have done on the previous record. If the record flops, It always learns me something of it and to learn is always good. But I hope of course that the Japanese audience still has an open arms. And that I can do a big festival tour in Scandinavia next summer. USA would also last a challenge to give itself on. It is a dream to may to harrow around and to play there… But, but, we may well see! |
