Lithuania has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest six times, debuting in 1994 (see ESC1994). After the 1994 contest Lithuania withdrew for five years, and has participated since 1999 , except in 2000 and 2003. The country had never finished in the top ten until 2006, and finished last in the 2005 semi-final (see ESC2005). LT United delivered the country's best placing (6th) with the highly controversial song 'We Are The Winners'.
