Talk:List of the most obese humans
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
All of the conversions to kilograms are incorrect, 1 lb=0.45359237 kg. And yes, various unconfirmed cases have been included; starting with Carol Yager, who's weight has never been verified by Guinness World Records – though they did recognize an earlier weight of 1,189 lb (539 kg) for her.
Shouldn't there be separate categories for men and women, with different minimum weights?

[edit] Scott Keith
One vandal went to this article and changed "Carol Yager" to "Scott Keith". I didn't know who Scott Keith was, so I went to the article to see if the new edit was true. Fortunately, there was an image of him. Just by looking at him, you can tell he is not 1600 pounds. It was vandalism. SupaStarGirl 12:20, 14 July 2006 (UTC) I don't know about that. He looks rather portly to me. Possible not 1600 pounds, but certainly at least half that, and probably half of that figure again.
[edit] this list is unbelievable
I'm ashamed by this list. I do not believe there's anything encylopedic about a list of the most obese humans. Maybe the most obese person's biography may have some value but this list is a disgrace to Wikipedia. This is degrading, and divisive, obesity is the new Judaism for Nazis of our generation. --Suleyman Habeeb 12:20, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
- I disagree. This article is neither degrading nor divisive. It is only a list. Your comment would perhaps be accurate if some vandal came and typed "HAHA! I'm glad I don't live in the storey below them!" or something similar, but the article does not currently include such a comment and thus cannot be misinterpreted as constituting an insult to these people. [edit] Facts are facts
16:44, 30 August 2006 (UTC)66.114.46.207There must be an underlying cause to the growth (no pun intended) of obesity rates in the United States. Why do we allow ourselves to self indulge in one form or another. Yes, it is a disgrace, but we can't just pretend it is not a problem and ignore these facts.
[edit] Maybe remove the links
Perhaps we should remove the links to articles that dont exist?
