Talk:List of subcamps of Herzogenbusch
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This lemma is a big failure. In the netherlands there are, in WWII, only concentration camps in Amersfoort, Vugt en Westerbork. Some smaller camps are in Ommen and Schoorl. There was not at all a concentration camp in Herzogenbusch. That's complete nonsense. --WVR 08:17, 14 Sep 2004 (UTC)
It's possible that the spelling of 'Herzogenbusch' is a German spelling. I live very close to Den Bosch or more more formally, 's-Hertogenbosch ...that's the Dutch spelling. There was in fact a Kamp Vught and it still exists as a museum (and a reminder). There was also a spelling error in that - it's spelled Vught. It's very possible that 's-Hertogenbosch was mentioned as the site since Vught is the next village over and is really just a suburb of Den Bosch. (I'm an American and not a Dutch historian.)
