[edit] Same person?
From Novallis II:
"Vashuo was killed by Toorima when she betrayed Zion and joined the Cypherites. She was captured and put under arrest, but was freed by either Gemaskeerd or Enmascarado, two of her fellow Cypherite operatives."
I guess that Gemaskeerd (dutch for masked) and Enmascarado are the same person, because their names mean the same (in dutch and spanish respectively).

- Nope. They're two separate guys. ShadowMan1od 04:05, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Bible quotes
I am confused with the inclusion of the bible quotes with each ship's commissioning plaque. Are the bible quotes actually shown in the movies, or are they simply inferred by the ship's I.D.? And if it is the latter, have the Wachowski bros. said that biblical quotes are what they intended? There are a lot of references to various religious ideas in the movies. Namely names tend to be judeo-christian, and philosophical themes tend to be buddhist. But as far as I know, nothing is explicitly one or the other. And the hovercraft numbering system could be a reasonable system sans any religious connotation. The Logos is Mark XIV Number 14. The term "mark" (often abbreviated 'mk.') is commonly used in military equipment to denote a class or version of a particular piece of equipment. So the I.D. of the Logos could simply mean that it is of the 14th class of hovercraft designed, and is the 14th ship of that class to be built. As the Matrix films do have various religious and philosophical references, it is possible that the biblical passages quoted are a secondary meaning of the ship I.D. But unless it has been explicitly stated to be so by the Wachowski bros., I think the quotes should be taken as speculation of hidden meaning like all other religious undertones of the movies, rather than 'obvious' interpretations as is presumed by this article. - The person who decided what was written on the core of the Nebuchadnezzar was not thinking of the Bible, but rather that he thought it sounded high tech. However, many fans interpretted as a biblical reference, and it's clear that all cores they decided upon later were such. This was noted in one one of the many making-of DVDs. 66.87.91.36 00:54, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
- I took the liberty of adding a bunch of these back in. Most of them make little sense as allusions (with the exception of the Vigilant, whose passage reads "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.") but it seemed useful for completeness/reference purposes. I hadn't realized that they had just recently been removed. I still say they have a useful place, since they aren't much more speculative than half the content in the article.--Valin Kenobi 04:35, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Matrix Online references
I notice a number of references to ship crews that seem to be from players of the online game. While I do think that anything, relating to the storyline the way the gamemakers set it up, is alright to be mentioned here, I don't think that player events should have a place in this article. -- MiG 12:04, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
