Talk:List of professionally-developed Linux games
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I understand the theoretical difference between this list and the commercial games list but what's the practical difference? It seems like it just makes more work to add a commercial game to 3 lists instead of just 2.
- Well, the main differences are that Abuse is professionally-developed, but isn't commercial, since it was released as public domain. Also, there is debate about whether America's Army and Enemy Territory are commercial or not, since they're released for free. This list takes care of those ambiguities. --Joeljkp 04:02, 26 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Definition of "professionally-developed"
The article does not state what it takes to a game to be considered "professionally-developed". What's it? The developers of these had an income from a company? 201.14.186.209 23:22, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
