Although just a joke, in the episode "A Taste of Freedom", Dr Zoidberg scuttles past a Klingon Embassy, implying an actual Klingon homeworld.

Proposing to merge Lists of Planets from Futurama into this article. The other article is a little more complete in the planets it has, but is missing quite a few. It makes sense to merge that information into this article, since this is the article linked to by all of the Futurama pages. Novastarj 21:24, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

Okay, a quick merge, just transferring the info over. No time to clean it up now, if anyone else wants to do the honors, feel free to. The planets with possibly excess info are Mars, Chapek 9, and Vergon 6. Also added Zuban 5 and Octillion System from the other page. Novastarj 20:51, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

Anyone who's feeling ambitious, want to alphabetize this list? It's becoming a little unweildy. Novastarj 01:46, 28 April 2006 (UTC) Done. ZoidPod 11:18, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Bogad?

Just wondering, is the planet Bogad (from the Futurama game) considered to be a legitimate planet in the Futurama universe? Nic tan33 06:26, 26 April 2006 (UTC)

I'd say no to adding it. I don't think it would be considered cannon, having occured in the video game but never in the actual series. However, if others feel strongly please post in discussion and we'll come to a decision. Novastarj 01:44, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

It could be included with a note explaining its origin and status with regard to canon, perhaps. ZoidPod 11:18, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

That sounds good to me. Long as you specify it's from the video game. Novastarj 18:18, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

I have added Bogad to the list of Futurama Planets, edit if needed, and thanks for your replies. Nic tan33 05:27, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Robonia?

Should the fictional planet of Robonia (made up by Bender so that he could compete in, and win, the Olympics) be added? Thanks, Steph 24 May 2006

Robonia should be added if the Radiator Planet is there, since they were both mentioned, but might not exist. ButchRocket 20:15, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
I went ahead and added it since I was making changes anyway. It should be fine since there are several other fake planets listed.
Thanks to all contribution to this thread. I have rewatched the episode "Bend her", and noticed that Bender has claimed to be from the "Grand Duchy of Robonia", which would suggest that this is a territory/dukedom, rather than a planet. I will think of something to more accurately reflect this in this page. Steph 5 June 2006
Why is Robonia there at all? Only other countries on Earth were competing in those Olympics anyways. 70.26.92.26 00:10, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
My thinking is that the event is called the "Earth Olympics" in the same way current Olympics are called the "Sydney Olympics" or the "Torino Olympics." It's where the events take place. But using Earth as the location implies other planets compete (even though some people are identified by their country). Just my thoughts. 24.2.216.230 03:07, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Planets from Futurama Comics

Just wanting to confirm, since the Futurama Comics are more-or-less canon, would it be all right if the planets mentioned in the comics be added here? Nic tan33 05:11, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

I edited the section regarding Fedex 12 to include which Comic Issue it appeared in, so I guess there should be no problem regarding this issue then? Nic tan33 05:11, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

I'd certainly insert planets (and so forth) appearing in the comics. DrWho42 00:54, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] M14

In the episode where they go to the movies (and Bender later becomes an ultimate robot fighter), before the movie starts, it says that the movie isn't suitable for aliens from planets M14 (I think). I don't remember exactly what it said, but somebody could check that part, and maybe add M14. 70.26.92.26 00:08, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

On this site (http://www.things.org/~jym/y3k/2ACV08.html) there's a summary of that episode. It looks like that was the rating of the movie in the episode. The exact wording was "M-14: Not Suitable For Aliens From Planet M-14". So technically we probably should add it. See my suggestion below though... Might make things easier. [edit] Planet Sorting

This list is getting a bit unweildy. Perhaps we should try dividing this article into several sections? My thoughts would be: (a) A section with seen/visited planets, (b) Planets mentioned in conversation/on the screen, (c) Fictional/possibly fictional planets, (d) Non-canonnical planets from the video game or comic book. Any thoughts? Novastarj 03:30, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

Good idea, though we should have a seperate category for real planets, like Earth and Mars. Koweja 21:22, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
I decided not to separate real planets, since some have been renamed, and some we know to exist but haven't seen them. I had a tough time fitting them into extra categories. Novastarj 03:02, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
Just wondering, but aren't Futurama comics technically canon? After all, isn't Matt Groening himself involved with them? If there are no objections, perhaps I could place the planets noted in the comics into another section if needed? Nic tan33 11:02, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
Doesn't really make a difference to me. You could look at it that way. I still think they should be in a separate section, but if you want, maybe retitle the section something like "Planets not appearing the television series." 160.39.30.190 22:22, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Massive Restructuring

Seemed like it was about time. I tried to sort the list as best as I could, but feel free to correct if you spot any mistakes. I'm also not sure how to make the list strictly in line with the Wikipedia guidelines, so help there would be appreciated.Novastarj 03:02, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
