[edit] Spoiler warning added

I've added a spoiler warning to the page. Anyone disagree with my decision? Crimson Shadow 19:03, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Lonnie?

Lonnie is the medical resident under the supervision of J.D. and Elliot played by Michael Hobert. He and J.D. occasionally spar with each other over insignificant incidents, but Lonnie has been spending an increasing amount of time with J.D. and Elliot. He is married with three children "that he knows of", and can grow a moustache in one day. Introduced at the end of Season 3, his role has continued to increase. Michael Hobert also appeared as an extra in the pilot. In a Season 4 episode, he was part of the "Triple Giant Doctor."

Bit innacurate, isn't it? Recently he's barely been in the episodes, and when he is he may have a line or two then he's gone again. Not what I'd call a role which "has continued to increase". Quite the opposite, really. Nor has he "been spending an increasing amount of time with J.D. and Elliot" in recent episodes.Crimson Shadow 20:17, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Minor characters

I think we should arrange the major guest cast in some kind of order to make it easier to browse. My suggestion would be chronologically by first appearance. Sarahjane10784 17:58, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] What about Keith?

Should Keith remain in major guest cast, or is it time to promote him to recurring cast? Sarahjane10784 03:50, 9 May 2006 (UTC)

I think we should play the wait-and-see game to find out the answer to that one?Crimson Shadow 19:51, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
Agreed. EVula 20:22, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

I think Keith should be promoted to recurring cast. He is now easily as important to the show as Lonnie and Harrison Kelso. Also, interviews with Bill Lawrence indicated that Keith will be a permenant boyfriend for Elliot.EJB341 22:20, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

He would be the first partner of a main character (not including Jordan) to be counted as a recurring cast member. I wonder if we should promote Sean too... or Dani? I don't know, I guess it probably makes sense to keep 'recurring cast' as only for current characters, in which case (as long as Keith is going to be a continuing recurring character) it would make sense to include him. So, do you have any citation about Keith becoming a main character? If so, I'd say promote him. --Gpollock 03:43, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

I've been looking for the article I read that said Keith would be a permenant boyfriend (not a main cast member, just a permenant member of the recurring cast), but I can't find it yet. But the point is that Keith has become more than one of the 'major guest star' cast. He in S5 before he became Elliot's booty call/boyfriend. He should certainly me removed from the 'major guest star' list, because he is currently on that and the 'minor reccuring characters- interns' list. He isn't the same as Sean or Danni, because he isn't a temporary guest star. I think he is important enough to be promoted into the 'recurring characters' list and given a picture and some more detailed info. EJB341 17:38, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Gary

For the cameo section: Didn't Gary Busey (sp?) make a cameo?

Definetly, when Elliot says that on her driver's license she looks like Gary Busey, in "My Missed Perception", i think. Fragsta 20:42, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Kim

Now that Kim and JD have had this little fling and I am gasping at the unbelievable cliffhanger they left the last episode on. Shouldn't we add Kim (Elizabeth Banks) to the minor characters list? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 198.209.48.156 (talk • contribs).

Yeah, she should be under "Major guest cast" at least, although we should refrain from speculation as to her role next season: for all we know, her character could just be wrapped up and lost at the beginning of season 6. --Doug (talk) 21:31, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The minor-minor characters

Are we going to do the background extras that the producers make a running joke of in the commentaries? Snoop Dogg Intern, Colonel Doctor, Dr. Mickhead, et al. Mickhead is actually a somewhat of a recurring character in his own right. --Doug (talk) 21:28, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

I agree to adding Mickhead, but I disagree with Colonel Doctor or Snoop Dog intern. Crimson Shadow 19:03, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

I think this page could use some pics

What about Sloppy Joe guy?

[edit] Jordan as a Major character?

Wouldn't anybody else consider Jordan to be a major character, now? --Fragsta 12:11, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

Until she's credited as major, she's still technically minor. Maybe they'll bump her up to the major ranks in season 6. Crimson Shadow 17:53, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
I hope so. Although, according to Bill Lawrence she often just decides not to work some weeks, and so they leave her out of the show. Fragsta 20:41, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

How exactly is the importance of cast characters decided? Many characters have had different levels of importance during different seasons. In addition to Jordan, several of Season 5's new interns are now quite established characters and surely set to have regular parts in Season 6, e.g. Keith and Lisa as well as Dr. Kim Briggs (although I am purely basing this reasoning on the storyline of Season 5). [edit] Harrison

I have added a seperate entry for Bob Kelso's son. I think the numerous references, especially in season 4 and 5, warrant this. Where should I place this "unseen character"?And what about Enid and Barry, who are listed in Wikipedia under the article "list of unseen characters" or some such, but are missing here? It just seems that there is not a clear definition of what a minor character really is. I would really appreciate some feedback! SorenK 15:00, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 'Dr. Ngyun' (Dr. Wen)

Anonymous user user:24.137.117.62 changed the spelling of the character commonly known and pronouced as 'Dr. Wen' to 'Dr. Ngyun' followed by a note that his name is pronouced 'Dr. Wen' in brackets. Unfortunatly this user has not provided a reference for this strange spelling of the character's name and I cannot find any reference from my limited search of websites associated with the show. I have therefor placed a citation request tag next to the name and if one cannot be provided within the next few days I think the character's name should be reverted back to 'Dr. Wen'. Canderra 22:41, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

The name is always spelt 'Wen' in the credits. It should be changed back, I think. That may be a traditional spelling, but if it's spelt 'Wen' in the show 'Wen' is correct. Change it back. EJB341

[edit] One-Armed Security Guard

What's the name of the one-armed security guard with the huge afro?--MonkBirdDuke 06:31, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

Leonard. He's mentionned under 'Other recurring characters.' --Gpollock 13:28, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Keith

Shouldn't Keith be in the major minor characters section? He gets far more screen time than the other interns and has had a decent amount of character development. --Seth Turner 05:51, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] What did Ben Sullivan die of?

Ben Sullivan's entry on this page has consistently said he died of a heart attack, which is how the episode My Screw Up presented it; there was no mention in that episode that Ben died due to his leukemia (which was in remission at the time). And yet, in Jordan's entry, one or more contributors have been insisting that Ben died of leukemia. Do y'all know something I don't? Did this come up in a later episode? Because the ping-pong match was getting annoying, I've completely removed any mention of Ben's death in Jordan's entry, since it's discussed later in the article anyway. If you are someone who insists that Ben died of leukemia, please explain your reasoning/evidence here. Thank you. --ScottAlanHill 06:38, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

Giving that My Screw Up relies on unreliable narration, I'm not sure any cause of death can be concluded. Calbaer 02:14, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
