Talk:List of fictional gemstones

[edit] Suggested additions
Do you think the Philosopher's Stone (which appears in mythology and the first Harry Potter book) would fit into this list? I don't know that much about it, however, just what I read in "Harry Potter". Maybe someone would like to add it? And how about Draconce? I read about it in "The Book of Fabulous Beasts" by Joseph Nigg. He quotes Solinus:
- "There is cut out of the Dragon’s brain a stone called Draconce, but it is not a stone unless it be taken from them while they are alive. For if the serpent die before, the hardness vanishes away with his life. The kings of the East wear these although they are so hard that no man can devise to imprint or engrave anything in it: and whatsoever is beautiful in it is not made by man’s hand, because no other color should strain the pure natural whiteness."
Does this count as a gemstone? Seems to be.. --Mithcoriel 15:14, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
