Should General William Westmoreland be included in this? He was born in Spartanburg, SC, but I believe he lived in Charleston.

A page similar to this one. List of people from San Francisco, is currently under review as an article for deletion, for reasons which would apply to this article as well. I am conducting an RfC on the talk page of the above-mentioned list to determine whether the concensus agrees on keeping such lists or not. Any and all comments are more than welcome. re: deletion, Charleston is unique for a city its size to have had such an impact on the American cultural landscape. A list of famous people from here would be useful in indicating that. I know that who can be considered famous is up for debate (which is determined by the whim of the wikiworld), and I know it is not limited to actors and comedians, however I would be interested in who would be included in this list. I included the imdb list of people born in Charleston, but others who have garnered fame will eventually make the list. --Jhlynes 00:54, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
