Why the Jets and Nord do not go on this page the teams still exist they moved Jets to Phoenix Nords to Colorado they are relocated not defunct Smith03 23:27, 1 Oct 2003 (UTC)

You could also include Hartford Whalers, Colorado Rockies, Atlanta Flames Etc.

no, defunct is when a team no longer operates at all anywhere, after a relocation and name change team history and records remain the same. For example, if a team ceases operations because of financial difficulty that would be considered defunct, but if moved it still exists just with different city and/or name
