Talk:List of appearances of C96 in popular culture
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I object to merging this article with any other list. Basically, it started off as a louse section of a C96 article with a bunch of unrelated information; if merged with other articles, people might start writing to the main article on C96 again. - Cyberodin
That "bandit shooting" technique is false and should be listed as so. It's a basketball term and had never been used with firearms.
I object too. While webspace and whatnot on WP is important, its also important to keep articales from becoming one giant list of almost unrelated things. (Why not merge every firearm articale into the one called 'Firearms'?) Bluegrime Bluegrime.
How would it be unrelated? At the very list it should be worked in in the same way that the M1911 and Colt Python are. Highlandlord 03:35, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
I despise the constant impetus to merge articles. Why even have an encyclopedia? Why not just have one really long page with all the information on the site on it? The C96 is a rather unique gun, and commonly represented in popular culture (often as the weapon of choice for villians), and thus deserves it's own article describing such representations. I thought what we were trying for was 1 long page having related information, such as guns in pop culture, and if it gets too long you put the longest parts on other pages so people don't have to go looking around 3 pages to look at the same stuff. Whatever, I didn't say merge, I said do the same thing that M1911, Browning HiPower, Colt Python and a bunch o others did, have the C-96 on their table thing, linking it to this page. And clean this page up so that it looks like a respectable article. Highlandlord 07:07, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
