[edit] Information
Someone reverted me when I added more info on Nadia Bjorlin. I did that as part of an attempt to make this (and other lists) more than just a list of names, and flesh out a person's Swedish (in this case) background. See List of Catholic American entertainers, which has now gone from a random list of names, some of them incorrect, to something more interesting with added information.
Since this is a relatively short list, I think that kind of a format - name + citation + fuller info on Swedish background - makes the article more interesting and wouldn't take up much space in the long run. MadJack 17:33, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
- This is a list of names. There is an article about Nadia Bjorlin where you can add all the details you want.--Ezeu 17:57, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, but what is the point in a list of names? If the people are listed because of their Swedish heritage, then why not elaborate on that heritage in a way we can't in an article? Especially since this is a a relatively small list and has more space? Besides, all lists need to be sourced/cited. MadJack 18:01, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
- Also, check out List of Dictators. I think the aim of every good list should be to become more meaningful, and look more like an article. MadJack 18:05, 8 March 2006 (UTC)

Please see discussion at Wikipedia:Village pump (policy) for current discussion of a potential policy to apply to all ethnicity lists on Wikipedia, including this one. JackO'Lantern 20:34, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Sources
I have sourced the list in accordance with Wikipedia's Original Research and Verifiability policies. Basically, anyone described by a reliable source as "Swedish" or "Swedish American" (i.e. as opposed to "of Swedish descent", "Swedish mother", etc.) is on the list. Here are the few people I couldn't find anything for. If you have a reliable source that fits that please restore the names:
