[edit] In progress

I've added every significant, unique location I could think of to this list. I'm hoping it will relieve some of the problem of having to describe high schools, shrines, planets, etc. every time they're mentioned (like in the Inner Senshi profiles). Of course, some of these will include important links out--Moon Kingdom to Silver Millennium, Dark Kingdom to Dark Kingdom, the other planets to their individual Sailor Animamates, Marzipan Castle to the SuperS movie, etc. But it'll be nice to have a concise list.

Obviously the descriptions I put in are very preliminary. :P Please do flesh them out! Try to avoid including a lot of plot and/or character information, but otherwise, everything you can find about the locations would be great. Use sources.

I avoided putting in stuff like Mamoru's American college or Sailor V's home in England, because we just don't know anything about them. If you do think of something notable outside Tokyo, though, feel free to add a section called "Earth"--but not if it's subsidiary to something else, like the North Pole is to the Dark Kingdom.

Okay! I think that's all my comments. If you disagree tremendously or have any other ideas, have at me. :) --Masamage 00:30, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Contents of old Galaxy Cauldron talkpage

any pictures of the galiaxy cauldron Sailor cuteness 17:04, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

I've never seen any. --Masamage 01:44, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
I have one. I made a Tarot card out of it. It's in the manga and the materials Collection, but it's only in black and white becauyse thedots are stars.. so even if it was in color it would still be in black and white. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Hitsuji Kinno (talkcontribs).
What page of the Materials Collection is it on? All I see is the Chaos image, underneath Sailor Cosmos and Chibichibi. --Masamage 18:10, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

ok btw what dose stay in there true form mean are they still alive? Sailor cuteness 19:25, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

Hard to say. I think they're conscious at least, and distinct from eachother, but I don't know much about it. (I don't think the manga's description is very detailed, either.) --Masamage 19:29, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Nitpicking

Sailor Power Guardians is a Fan term (thus should be banned since there is an official term). In the manga they are named "Guardian" then the name of the planet. The thing is that people wanted to distinguish. But technically they are "Guardians" and if you need more of a term "Guardians of the Crystals" which is how they introduce themselves.

The other thing is that Sailor Coronis, Sailor Mau, etc are not mentioned. They are according to the manga the true Sailor Soldiers... I know it shouldn't be put into great detail, but a quick mention won't hurt.

Takeuchi doesn't live in Azabu Juuban anymore, I think. She mentioned in Princess Takeuchi Naoko Back to Work Punch! that she had built her own house (You know how expensive that is?)! She also mentioned several times about moving. I think it would be safer to say that she lived in Azabu during the time she was creating SM.

Some adjustments for the manga should also be made. For example, in the manga, Michiru and Haruka live in an apartment together until they have to raise Hotaru with Setsuna, then they move to an Empire-style house. Setsuna doesn't arrive until much later, but her living arrangements aren't shown until she moves to the Empire-style house. (The anime has them in I think a Colonial-style house, but I'd have to double check the architecture.) Distinguishing between versions might help just a little.

The kanji on the Hikawa Shrine (real one) is ice, not water. (there is an extra mark to the upper left that denotes this).

All great points, and all implemented. ^_^ The only thing I didn't do was mention the manga/anime differences in the homes section; if the only difference is the style of home, that seems a little fancrufty. I did get more specific with the Outer Senshi homes, which is awesome, so thank you very much. :) You're totally welcome to make edits like this yourself, by the way. I don't at all mind doing them, and it's cool to hear your reasonings, but I don't want you to feel like you're not allowed to make legitimate changes. You've been at this longer than I have, after all. --Masamage 18:24, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Codename wa Sailor V Locations

Should we Create a second section for locations in the Sailor V Manga?Lego3400: The Sage of Time 02:58, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

I don't think so; create a section in the Sailor V article. --Masamage 05:11, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Images

This would be a later project, but perhaps adding a few images of the locations--not all of them, but selected ones voted upon might be helpfuul to mainly get a feel for how it would be done and what they wold look like. Later, though, after those damned profiles are completed.--Hitsuji Kinno 15:42, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

Check. ^_^ --Masamage 00:10, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Leiji Matsumoto and Takeuchi

It's been stated that Takeuchi loved Leiji Matsumoto's work, from her own mouth (interview), in fact there is a heavy influence on her throughout her work in SM. The outerspace theme, the way the characters are wispy, etc. (She's been deviating lately). Anyhow, I think it's fair to state that the Galaxy Cauldron has a heavy, heavy influence from one of Leiji Matsumoto's anime-- The Harlock Saga. In the Harlock Saga they go to the center of the galaxy and find Gods there. In Stars Takeuchi writes that they went to the center of the galaxy and find the Guardian of the Cauldron, Guardian Cosmos. In the Harlock saga there is a war (over this ring) that involves Gods. In Sailor Moon there is a war between Senshi which are kind of dieties in the SM world. So... the question is, is this a reference for here, or the Stars manga? (A piliminary manga page would help for this...) --Hitsuji Kinno 16:03, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

I think we could definitely add an Influences section to the manga page. --Masamage 20:57, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Elysion is missing

Where would that go? It used to be where the Golden Kingdom resided. I also think it was a pun.. Elysium/Elysian and "Illusion" in Japanese sound the same. referring to the dream part... however I'm not sure where to place the info. I'd reference it from the manga and then let someone else do the rest of the anime stuff since the anime stuff is much thinner. --Hitsuji Kinno 03:50, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Page of reference

This webpage is a little old but it talks about what Sailor Moon locations on based on :http://www.geocities.com/lunararchivist/mystplan.html Would that be a good page to use? Neptunekh 04:40, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

It seems to have good info, but I'm having a really hard time reading it due to the ghastly background image. >__> If there were only a mirror site...? --Masamage 21:46, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
