someone needs to fix J.J. It looks really weird in Mozilla.

J.J. looks fine with the latest Firefox version. Make sure you're using the latest version. --Snkcube 05:45, 24 December 2005 (UTC)

Which enemies are not part of the Las Plagas. -- Psi edit 18:57, 27 January 2006 (UTC)

All of the enemies in the game were somehow created using Las Plagas. --Halloween jack 20:02, 27 January 2006 (UTC)

While it's good to say 'Eyes dropped by Novistadors depend on how they're killed', it'd be nice to get a list of what method nets what eye.

On the picture of Dr. Salvador you can see he is wearing some sort of straps that go over his shoulders to keep his pants up. I have no idea what they are called. Could someone tell me?

Suspenders? Tim 02:31, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

earlier today, for Iron Maiden it showed Eddy, the character from the Iron Maiden CDs and etc. I was going to mention removing it but because my school computers are blocked from editing Wiki (which was my fault) I couldn't mention it. But its gone now so I suppose this is all pointless.

What's with the last paragraph in the Los Ganados section? xinline88

[edit] Gameplay advice, etc.

I've been working on a major edit of this article, mostly correcting the direct gameplay advice it contains, as I believe it to be irrelevent and outside of Wikipedia's scope. I'm not against listing notable vulnerabilities of the game's creature, but I think lengthy discussions of gameplay issues and creature encounters are inappropriate.

If anyone happens to agree/disagree with these views, I'd like to hear it. I'm going to delay posting the reworked article until at least a few days, maybe more or less depending on the reception of my suggestions.--FrostyBytes 01:42, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

I like the idea of a basic discription of the creatures and weaknesses and how they act etc. but I do agree a guide style instruction shouldn't be included, for example:
A worm erupts from it's back which is vunerable to attack

as opposed to

By slashing the tenticles a worm erupts form it's back by pressing the action button one can attack it, this must be repeated 3 times to finish it off
if that's what you meant I agreeWolfmankurd 19:35, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
Yup, that's what I meant by it. The revision has been up for about a week now, I think.
Also, it'd be nice if someone could take a look at the entry for Las Plagas, more specifically the list of Plagas as seen ingame. I'm out of ideas for how to improve that particular section, yet I find that it needs some improving.--FrostyBytes 20:49, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Snakes

Hey guys what about them snakes in the boxes. Croatnik 06:43, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

...eh: more of an incidental hazard; kind of like the swinging pendulum blades, albeit organically-based. I don't believe they are relevant enough to necessitate mentioning. --206.40.119.252 10:49, 18 July 2006 (UTC) Thanks, Aaron 7.17.2006

[edit] Regarding "Unkown creature"

I'm pretty sure this is a regenerator. If the box containing it is opened, but the bag inside not attacked, an additional standard regenerator appears in the room after you procede up the corridor, seemingly having burst from the bag. I'm baseing this on my memories of the game, which may be innaccurate. Could someone be so good as to check? Jefffire 12:15, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

If you prove to be correct, it´d be great to explain the bag-monster as being a regenerator, especially seeing as how no matter how often I clean it up, someone always comes along to add some speculation on the bag monster. --FrostyBytes 13:59, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

It will take someone with the gall and determination to take on Sadlers army, storm his island strong hold, and the open the box but not kill the creature. Any takers? Jefffire 17:45, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
I went through on a speed-run earlier today (A little over five hours, I don't think that's too shabby), opened the box, and left the creature alone. I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary throughout the rest of the game, so it doesn't look like it's supposed to come to your aid later in the game, or anything like that (like the dog in the village). It looks like it's just there to spook you (sure did manage to spook me the first time I came across it). While, yes, it would make a lot of sense if it were a Regenerator, seeing as how there's a bunch in that area of the game, there's nothing at all to prove or disprove what it is. And I don't think Capcom's ever released anything about what it's actually supposed to be, so I guess we should just leave it at that. A spook device. -D14BL0 04:57, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
If it's a regenerator, how come you can kill it with one knife slash or bullet? Sylocat 03:29, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
If I remember right, it wasn't as big as the other Regenerators you come across, so it is possible that it is probably a weakend or flawed Regenerator. Razer of Chaos 16:51, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Children and etc.

I removed the stuff about "filicides" because there is no evidence for it, other than the supposed small hand (doesn't look small to me). If the case for it is just that hand, there's no real evidence for it. For all we know, Saddler may have magically turned the village's children into bacon. --Crazysunshine 00:23, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

I suppose the "real" reason there are no child Ganados is because a swarm of Thompsonites would be up in arms. Bisected8 15:44, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Adding "Honest Woodcutter" to the notable Ganado section

If you look closely you'll notice that the first Ganado you encounter (the one who yells at Leon when he shows the picture) has a body which doesn't disintergrate. He may also be the same Ganado which attacks you while your tied up with Luis. The fact that he reappears after you first defeat him and that his body doesn't disintegrate (like JJ, Dr Salvador et al), in my opinion, means that he should be mentione in the article.-Bisected8 15:38, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

I'm inclined against it. He seems to be a stock enemy, notable only for being the first enemy encountered. The lack of disintegration is probably not important. Jefffire 16:43, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
As I said though, he does seem to reappear so maybe he is just notable for at least a mention?Bisected8 12:16, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
The disintegration has nothing to do with the Las Plagas. The reason he doesn't melt away like the rest of them is because they expect you to take a good look at the dead body, being your first of many kills (note that you have the option to "Check" the body after you kill him).
The rest of the creatures disintegrate simply because it keeps the game running smoothly, and keeps things clean. It's hard to spot items on the floor when you've littered the room full of bodies. -D14BL0 05:20, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Annoying game guide edits

Some time ago, I took it upon myself to rework this article, and bring it up to a higher standard. I didn't add any content, I just improved what was already there, and removed what seemed like irrelevant to the article, e.g. game guide content.

As it is, the vast majority of edits are contributions by users who are not signed in, and add game guide-type content. I'm a bit annoyed at having to constantly revert game guide edits to keep this article in good shape, as I feel a bit personally invested in it. Isn't there some sort of template to point out that the addition of the types of content in question are unwanted? It'd be very helpful if one were to be added at the top of the article itself and/or the talk page. FrostyBytes 23:08, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Villagers' names.

I hope no one minds, but I added a brief sentence to the Villager's section mentioning that they are the only standard Ganados that have their own names. I didn't put a lot in about it, I just felt it was worth noting and I found that interesting.Metalsamurai 13:36, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Making the Article Neater and Tighter

Someone's been putting in annoying little details replete with bad grammar to most of the creatures, such as the Regenerators and their genitals. Someone help me fix it up! Nintenboy01 19:47, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

I honestly don't see the problem with the "annoying little details", there isn't a whole lot to say about these enemies anyway. Dementus 13:25, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Somebody is Ruining this Article

Whoever took away the pictures of the Zealots, Garrador, and Novistador needs to STOP. There was absolutely NOTHING wrong with those pictures as they were from the official game art. It appears that the El Gigante picture is also gone and that the Iron Maiden picture has been badly replaced. Someone needs to put this article back the way it was: perfectly fine. Dementus 12:15, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Why is this article separated from the List_of_Resident_Evil_creatures?

They should be merged, as RE4 is part of the RE series.

No it doesn't: The enemies in RE4 are much different from the enemies in any other RE game because they are of a completely different originality. Other RE games have zombies and rotting things, RE4 has the hosts of parasites, and these enemies cannot be grouped with zombies because they are just too different from zombies.
