There is no reason for this to be merged with Jehovah's Witnesses any more than there is for List of Roman Catholics to be merged with Roman Catholic Church or List of Mennonites with Mennonites, etc... Carolynparrishfan 17:58, 23 October 2005 (UTC)

Good point.--HistoricalPisces 19:37, 23 October 2005 (UTC)

I added some, I'm not sure this is allowed as my life doesn't fit the note. Still the one's I added I think are legitimate. Granted their Wiki page saying they are Jehovah's Witnesses doesn't mean they are so if nothing else confirms it I can remove a few.--T. Anthony 11:02, 11 November 2005 (UTC)
the Jaskson's (I.E micheal) altought I think they are all former now.--Greyfox 04:26, 18 November 2005 (UTC)
I added the two Jacksons whose articles seemed to indicate they aren't former. Rebbie Jackson it says has been married to a fellow Jehovah's Witness since she was eighteen, something I don't think is remotely true of the others, and the mother who raised them in the faith.--T. and prince, or the the man formaly known as prince, or is it the man formaly known as known.

I do not keep up with pop as well as I used to he studing or current--Greyfox 04:29, 18 November 2005 (UTC)

what are the evidence, that Anthony Quinn was one of JW??
His autobiographic The Original Sin discusses religion a great deal it seems, but not JW. He seems to have been Catholic, then Pentecostalism, and then conflicted I guess. (Although it sounds like he was some kind of Christian for most of his life) Maybe JW was in there somewhere, but I don't see much proof. Even if it was Catholic/Pentecostalism seems more significant. If I can't find anything in his article or IMDB page I'll take him out.--T. Anthony 09:28, 24 January 2006 (UTC)
I added some based on interviews and Wiki articles. Their articles might be wrong though so check on that.--T. Anthony 10:47, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Michael Jackson

I have a copy of a michael jackson autobiography (sorry can't rember what it's called), but i remeber reading that he used to attend their meetings with his mother. Should he be put on the former Jehovah's Witnesses list.

when he used to attend meetings, we can not say, he is one JW.

[edit] Dave Mustaine

According to various interviews, Dave Mustaine (former Metallica lead guitarist, as well as frontman and rhythm guitarist for Megadeth) was raised as a Jehova's Witness, although he definitely seems to have disassociated himself with them. Therefore, I'm adding him to the list of former Jehovah's Witnesses.

[edit] Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson would have to be recognized by Jehovah's Witnesses as an active publisher in their ministry (see main article on Jehovah's Witnesses) to be considered an active witness. This would need to be verified with congregation elders of the congregation he attends. As of the last comments, he is not associated with Jehovah's Witnesses in any way. So, no, he wouldn't be added; and would be kept on the "former" list.

[edit] Gary Gygax

Gary Gygax would have to be recognized by Jehovah's Witnesses as an active publisher in their ministry (see main article on Jehovah's Witnesses) to be considered an active witness; as well as becoming approved to take part in that ministry. This would need to be verified with congregation elders of the congregation he attends. As of the last comments, he is not associated with Jehovah's Witnesses in any way; and this was nothing more than a rumor. Would look for ample time for documentation on this issue before removing him from the list.

Prince, the musician, would have to be recognized by Jehovah's Witnesses as an active publisher in their ministry (see main article on Jehovah's Witnesses) to be considered an active witness; as well as becoming approved to take part in that ministry. This would need to be verified with congregation elders of the congregation he attends. As of the last comments, he is not associated with Jehovah's Witnesses in any way; and this was nothing more than a rumor.
