I'm in the process of adding one image for each character, but just as a link so it does not clutter the page and it still caters to the FFX fanatics who want to see every detail. Er... that may present a problem. All of these images are fair use, and, by Wikipedia copyright policy, all fair use images need to be used within an article for us to use them. They'll liable to be tagged for deletion. – Seancdaug 17:18, 5 February 2006 (UTC)

Yes, it can. But there are also issues of notability. While a case can be made that, say, Cloud Strife is uniquely notable amongst Final Fantasy characters (given the popularity of Final Fantasy VII and the frequency with which he has cameoed in other games), a similar case probably cannot be made for Shuyin. – Seancdaug 06:06, 2 January 2006 (UTC)
Shuyin is quite notable in regards of the storyline of FFX-2. If he would be merged, lots of information would be lost, especially when willing Wikipedians try to find extensive information about side characters, like I did. I was quite grateful for the large amount of information in Shuyins article. Why not re-write it? Who knows what appearances and cameos he will have in future titles, for Final Fantasy is long and life is short. ;) --Plumcouch 16:13, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
WP:NOT a crystal ball: if Shuyin appears in future games, then it may be worth revisiting the question of whether he deserves his own article. Until then, he's really no different than any other villain who has appeared in a single game. And, unfortunately, Wikipedia is not really the location of "extensive information about side characters." Any encyclopedia exists to provide a basic overview of a topic, and, often, a means to locate sources with more detailed information. Overloading an article with detail means that it becomes comparatively harder for someone just looking for the basics to tease that information out of the piece. No one's saying that the information in the longer article needs to be lost, necessarily, but it should at least be transwikied to a more appropriate location, such as the Final Fantasy wikicity or Wikibooks. – Seancdaug 18:23, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

Personally, I think the Shuyin page should be merged in here. There's a lot of good information in this page for sure, but that can be saved on the Final Fantasy wiki. Shuyin's hardly got the notability of Cloud Strife, or even Tidus for that matter. It took me ahile to get used to the idea, but now I even agree that Cloud's article is appropriate in terms of length and such.

Yeah, it's a fine page and all, but the question to be asked is "Just how necessary is it?" The answer's "Not very." At the end of the day, it makes sense for Cloud's article to be as big as it is due to the 9897 viewers he got that day; Shuyin's 103 visitors hardly warrants the same. To add to what I said before, while there's more to say about him than any of the other new characters in X-2, most of his info directly relates to the rest of the cast of X-2 and its main events, such that all the info can easily be maintained on the character list and the main X-2 page amongst the respective characters and the story summary. I think Shuyin should have alot more said about him, or go in depth of his striking resemblence to Tidus of FFX. Many questions are brought up about this, such as if Tidus is merely a memory of Shuyin that the fayth dreamt up.

I really dislike how people cut Wikipedia's information down so low. People don't want the basic information, they want information to go in great depth, why else would they even look it up? Seriously, people, quit cutting Wikipedia down so much, people don't want it.

Gippal's own page is hardly warranted. The list page here can easily incorporate the more notable information concerning him. Gippal warrants his own page even less than Shuyin. Ryu Kaze 15:55, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

Nooj's page -- like Gippal's -- could easily be summarized and stuck in here in a paragraph or two. The speculation section could either be entirely dropped, or shortened to a sentence or two at the very most. Like Gippal, Nooj warrants his own page even less than Shuyin. [edit] Annoying pictures

From List of Final Fantasy X characters: An elderly itinerant scholar who wanders Spira studying its people and history. Much of what he knows is knowledge mostly lost to the rest of Spira, and subtly hints that he is far older than most would assume. In truth, he is an unsent, as revealed in Final Fantasy X-2.

Not explicitly, but it is implied very strongly. The 'video' played in the Black Mage dressphere makes a comment about a handshake with an voice much like Maechen's(slightly distorted), and later, Maechen also makes a comment about two girls having the exact same handshake(which is why he remembered he was an unsent). Rather like Lenne is implied to have been a singer as well as a summoner, by her dressphere.

In the game, Leblanc's name is spelled without the "B" capitalized. See "Characters" on the official site here: [1] (Sorry, I can't provide a direct link because the site uses Flash.) Any objections to me changing the capitalization on this page? Kuribosshoe 08:24, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
