Is this list for starting captains or for captains for any period of time? e.g. When Beckham goes off and gives the armband to Owen/Campbell/Neville - does that count? Either way, it should be stated on the article.

[edit] Ray Wilkins/Bryan Robson

As far as I remember Ray Wilkins was originally made captain of both England and Man Utd following Keegan's international retirement and Martin Buchan's deterioration respectively. However in the October Wilkins suffered an injury that kept him out for 6 months and by the time he came back his vice captain for both teams, Robson, had been made permanent captain of both.
