[edit] Naming

Due to naming conventions, and the fact that there are several things with the name Drexel (not all listed on Wikipedia) I think this should be moved from 'Notable Drexel alumni' to 'Notable Drexel University alumni' or 'List of Drexel University people' with the intention of expanding it to include Notable alumni, Notable faculty and affiliates, and/or Notable athletes. --Just an opinion.. since this is so newly created I don't want to move it immediately and want some feedback. --ImmortalGoddezz 05:05, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

Yes, this page should be moved. The new name should start with "List of" (since it's a list) and should not include the word notable. Notability is implied in all articles, and should never be used in article or category names. Whether the page is moved to "List of Drexel University alumni" (which would include sportspeople) or "List of Drexel University people" depends on what you want the list to include. See Category:Lists of people by university in the United States for examples. - EurekaLott 15:44, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the reply, I think I'll just go ahead and rename this 'List of Drexel University people' since there are a few notable professors that can be added here instead of the main page. --ImmortalGoddezz 16:01, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

This page was meant to be about alumni, not people. I moved it to a name that was closer to my original intent. --South Philly 04:11, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

As per your original intent. Thank you for involving us in your debate, but I really shouldn't have to remind you that it's not your page, it's wikipedia a free encyclopedia that anyone can edit. Obviously we're going to have a debate on this page, and many other Drexel pages so I'm going to ask for this to be mediated by an administrator. Thanks. --ImmortalGoddezz 04:24, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
  • Whatever, I'm not going to f with this page any more. Maybe instead of just changing the page earlier today you could have floated your ideas here and not just made a unilateral decision -one that sets up conflict and divisiveness. --South Philly 04:31, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
Because this is a list of alumni, I moved it to "List of Drexel University alumni". If a user opts to add faculty members or other people associated with the university to the list, then it should be moved to "List of Drexel University people". If you decide to move the page, be sure to update the redirects that point here in order to avoid double redirects. - EurekaLott 06:50, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fulp Harn

Two entries stand out as being dubious: "Tom Fulp: Founder of the website Newgrounds.com" "Chris Harn: Breeders' Cup pick six scam".

I would suggest they be dropped from the list.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 192.154.91.225 (talkcontribs).

There is nothing dubious about either, both have appropriate outside sources that comply with WP:V and WP:RS. Both are verifiably Drexel alumni. (The definition of alumni is former student, not necessarily former graduate of the university). Harn Fulp --ImmortalGoddezz 18:04, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
Agreed. Drexel ain't proud of them, but they're there. — RevRagnarok Talk Contrib 21:10, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
