Talk:List of Doctor Who historical characters

[edit] Name Drops

Okay, does anybody else think this section should go? Tons of people have been mentioned in the series at one point or another. --Sean Jelly Baby? 16:11, 23 September 2005 (UTC)

I'm not much bothered either way. It's kind of a cute list, but I can see an argument being made for it not being terribly encyclopedic. On the other hand, there are plenty less worthy lists elsewhere on Wikipedia. My leaning is, "it's harmless, leave it," but if it offends you terribly I wouldn't protest its deletion. —Josiah Rowe 03:05, 29 September 2005 (UTC)
I think it should stay, but draw the line at spin-offs, because every single historical character EVER has appeared in them ;) --TimPope 21:46, 29 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Name of this page

With the mythological and fictional characters in it, is Historical characters in Doctor Who the best name for this page? Would something like Noteworthy characters in Doctor Who be better? Or something else? —Josiah Rowe 03:05, 29 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Shakespeare

The BBC have confirmed that Series 3 of the new series will include Shakespeare [1], but since they haven't confirmed an actor yet, should this be mentioned or not? smurrayinchester(User), (Talk) 11:27, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

I think adding Shakespeare is fine: Mme de Pompadour was in from first announcement. --Litefoot 20:55, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
