Talk:List of DirecTV channels/Archive 1
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I'm going through and cleaning up the page. I'm formatting the list of channels into a cleaner table. I'm not a fan of tables, but in this case its better to do than just having it as a list. I'm also updating the channels as found on the DirecTV website. --myselfalso 20:10, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
I've finished the table. --myselfalso 05:05, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Notes
Please do not leave the tv channels advertisment campaign such as Bravo "Watch What Happens" under the notes. The notes specifically are for information about that channel, such as Cartoon Network airing Adult Swim from 11 PM - 4 AM.
--myselfalso 20:10, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
I repeat what I said before. The "NOTES" column is for details about the channel, such as BETJ was once BET Jazz, Tech TV and G4 merged, or that Cartoon Network is replaced by Adult Swim from 11 PM to 4 (or 5) AM. Anything else added into the "NOTES" column will be removed because it is unnecessary. If a person is interested in the channel, they can click the link to read more about that channel.

The same person seems to keep changing links (like OLN to Versus, which doesn't happen until September; trying to shoehorn Jetix into the Toon Disney link, and others) and completely ignores everyone's request to stop. --Mhking 10:49, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Anonymous user changing channel lineups
Talk about frustrating. I tried to get all of the changes, but of course, neglected some. I'll go back over the list this weekend and try to make sure it's updated properly. --Mhking 10:44, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Article Move
I probably wouldn't have done that if it were me -- what about DirecTV Latin America channels? (to play devil's advocate) --Mhking 00:56, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] "ID" comumn
I propose the "ID" colymn be removed. I was pleasantly suprised to see it added, but because the ID differs depending on what system a person has, for example NickToons Network on the list is currently "NIKTONSN", while on other systems it is displayed as "NKTN". I was thinking about adding something like the current ID column before it was added, but if it differs it really isn't helpful. --Squeak 19:56, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- Agreed. --Mhking 20:05, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

- I agree. I removed the "id" column. Also, I added Channel 996 which is the Gospel Music Channel. DirecTV added it to the guide on July 26, though it is not available yet. It says that it is "not locally available". --myselfalso 20:48, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] GMC Channel 996 or 1030
On my channel guide, GMC is now listed on channel 1030. --myselfalso 06:53, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
