[edit] Verification

I am concerened that names are being added to this list and there seems no sources cited. The latest addition is Peta Wilson. There is no info in the wikipedia article to substantiate her addition to this list. That Cardinal Mannix is an Australian Catholic is no issue. Tony Abbott's convictions are also common knowledge. However, perhaps we need sources for all of the people on the list, unless there is a ref to their faith in the wikipedia article that links to their name.--A Y Arktos 10:25, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

I find it much more important to think about the fundamental premise of this list. Is it realistic to draw a list of Catholics in Australia? More crucially, does it fulfil a basic need, i.e. is such a list warranted as part of an encyclopaedia? I personally doubt it. JREL (talk) 14:03, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
