This is a list of the longest underground/surface/elevated subways, metros and rapid transit modules of the world.

Not included are:

  • Light rails such as the tramways of England, the Belgian Pre-Metro, the funiculars of Genoa, Naples and Porto, tramways of Porto and Lisbon.
  • Suburban rails such as the MSR of Mumbai, the S Lines of Milan, the FM of Rome, the RER of Paris, the urban railways of Australia, Berlin's S-Bahn, the Cercanias of Spain, the KCR of Hong Kong and the other railway systems of Seoul and all other suburban and commuter lines (including those underground).
