List of universities in British Columbia

The province of British Columbia, Canada is home to the following private universities:
- Trinity Western University (Langley)
- University Canada West (Victoria)
- Lansbridge University (Vancouver)
The following institutions are public universities:
- Royal Roads University (Victoria)
- Simon Fraser University (Burnaby)
- University of British Columbia (Vancouver/University Endowment Lands, Kelowna)
- University of Northern British Columbia (Prince George)
- University of Victoria (Victoria)
- Thompson Rivers University (Kamloops), (merger of University College of the Cariboo and British Columbia Open University)
The following universities are not yet open:
- Quest University (Squamish) will open in September 2007
- Fairleigh Dickinson University (Vancouver) will open in September 2007
The following universities were closed:
- Technical University of British Columbia (TechBC) (Surrey) had students between 1999 and 2002. It was merged with Simon Fraser University.
