List of topics named after Leonhard Euler
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In mathematics and physics, there are a large number of topics named in honour of Leonhard Euler. Many of these topics involve a function, formula or identity, often ambiguously called Euler's formula, Euler's function, or Euler's identity. Euler's work touched upon so many fields that he is often the earliest written reference on a given matter. Physicists and mathematicians often jest that oftentimes a discovery or theorem is named after the "first person after Euler to discover it".
