List of state-named roadways in Washington, D.C.

Many of the diagonal roads in Washington, D.C. are named after U.S. states. Except for California and Ohio, every state provides the name for an avenue; California is a street and Ohio is a drive. There is also a Columbia Road (for the District of Columbia) and a Puerto Rico Avenue.
