List of self-referential songs in films
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article refers to films that are not classified as musical films.
Musical film score is often employed in the production of a film, but there have been occasions where a song was written in reference to itself, usually as a theme song. A number of James Bond films have had self-titled songs since the 1960s, but aside from musical films, this practice was largely confined to films made in the 1980s.
