List of physics-based computer and video games

This is a list of videogames that feature the use of physics (Classical mechanics in particular) as an important aspect of gameplay. See List of games using physics engines for games that use physics for aspects of the game that are not necessarily important to gameplay.

  • Armadillo Run - A game in the "construction puzzle" genre, you must get the ball to the target using various materials.
  • BreakQuest - an Arkanoid/Breakout style game with heavy use of physics. From Nurium Games.
  • Bridge Builder - a series of games where bridges must be constructed within limited budgets.
  • Elasto mania (Elma) - a simplified 2D dirt bike goal-based game also known as Action SuperCross, from Balazs.
  • Gish - a unique 2D platformer by Chronic Logic, an independent games developer.
  • Half-Life 2 - a popular first person shooter by Valve Software. Makes heavy use of its physics engine in puzzles and general gameplay.
  • Jurassic Park: Trespasser - a first person shooter and adventure title developed by Dreamworks Interactive. Trespasser uses its elaborate physics engine for realistic crate-stacking puzzles.
  • Kumoon - Knock over boxes with your chick. Made by Mikko Oksalahti.
  • Porrasturvat and Rekkaturvat - translated as "Stair dismount" and "Truck dismount" respectively, made by tAAt Productions.
  • Super Monkey Ball - A 3D platformer/puzzle game using simple gravity and normal forces.
  • Toribash - A 3D simulation of a pair of ragdolls, which are indirectly controlled with muscle tensions.
  • Umihara Kawase - A 2D platformer where you swing around on an elastic fishing line.
  • Within a Deep Forest - Main character is a bouncing ball.
