This is a list of people notable for four or more marriages. This list is for cases where a person is noted for their serial marriages, and not their polygamy. The list is sorted by number of marriages.

- Glynn Wolfe. He was married 29 times, and holds the record for serial marriages. His final marriage was to Linda Essex.
- Linda Essex. She was married 23 times, including a marriage to Glynn Wolfe
- Wook Kundor. She was married 21 times. At age 104 she married Muhamad Noor Che Musa who was 33 in 2006. He is husband number 21. If her age was confirmed the age difference would be 71 years. [1]

- Mickey Rooney. He has been married 8 times. The shortest was for 100 days and the longest was over 22 years.
- Elizabeth Taylor. She has been married 8 times. The shortest was for 8 months and the longest was for 10 years.
- Artie Shaw, composer and writer (deceased). He had 8 marriages and two children. Among his wives were Ava Gardner, Evelyn Keyes, Kathleen Winsor and Lana Turner.

- Robert Evans. He has been married 7 times. Sharon Hugueny, Camilla Sparv, Ali MacGraw, Phyllis George, Catherine Oxenberg, and Lesley Ann Warren, and Lady Victoria White in Mexico on August 2005. He has one son from his marriage to MacGraw.
- Larry King. He has been married 7 times. The shortest was less than 1 year and the longest was 7 years. Two marriages were to the same former Playboy Bunny.
- Stan Laurel. He was married 7 times.
- Martha Raye. She has been married 7 times. The shortest was less than a year and the longest was 11 years. She married Mark Harris who was 32 years younger after knowing him for three weeks.

- Jerry Lee Lewis was married 6 times. Dorothy Barton; He married Jane Mitcham, his second wife, 23 days before his divorce from his first wife, was final. On December 12, 1957, Jerry married his second cousin, Myra Gale Brown and divorced in 1970; in 2004 he divorced his sixth wife, Kerrie McCarver.
- Henry VIII of England was married 6 times; his wives were respectively divorced (Catherine of Aragon), beheaded (Anne Boleyn), died (Jane Seymour), divorced (Anne of Cleves), beheaded (Catherine Howard), outlived her husband (Catherine Parr).
- Raymond VI of Toulouse. His first wife was Ermessinde, countess of Melgueil (died 1176). His second wife was Beatrix of Béziers (repudiated 1193, one child). His third wife was Bourgogne de Lusignan (repudiated 1196). His fourth wife was Joan, sister of King Richard the Lionhearted of England (died 1199, two children). His fifth wife was a Cypriot princess (divorced 1202). His sixth wife was Leonor, daughter of the king of Aragon, who survived him.

He has been married to Velma Warren (1954-1969), Deidre Jenkins (1971-1981), Adrienne Rodriguez (1984-1986) and Tommy Rae Brown (2002-present). His first two marriages ended in divorce, his third ended in his wife's death and his fourth marriage ended in an annulment, but they've remarried since.

- Peter Jennings, ABC World News Tonight anchor and journalist (deceased). He had been married to Valerie Godsoe (1960s), Annie Malouf (1970s). From 1979 to 1993, he was married to author Kati Marton, with whom he had two children. He was survived by his fourth wife, Kayce Freed. They married in 1997.
- Sonny Bono, deceased singer and politician.
- George Sanders, actor. Second and fourth marriages was to two of the three Gabor sisters, Magda and Zsa Zsa.
