List of early English cricketers to 1786
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The purpose of this article is to create a list of the earliest known cricketers whose careers began prior to the foundations of Lord's Cricket Ground and Marylebone Cricket Club in 1787. The list is by season, this being the season in which the player's name first appears in the known records. The team, club or county with which the player was most usually associated is also given.
Some players and clubs have dedicated articles in WP, as indicated by the links, and eventually all seasons will have a review article.
