General Fulgencio Batista of Cuba, who orchestrated the removal of President Carlos Manuel de Céspedes in 1933. He removed Manuel de Céspedes's successor Ramón Grau less than a year later, and took power again in 1952 following another coup d'état. By 1959, he had himself been ousted by the Cuban revolution
