This is a list of cities in Mongolia.

The following table includes cities of more than 9,000 inhabitants, their names in English transcription, the results of the census of January 5. 2000 as well as a population estimation for January 1. 2006. The higher level administrative unit is the aymag, except for Ulaanbaatar which administrates its own federal district. The numbers of inhabitants relate to the cities proper without surrounding districts.
