List of churches in Adelaide

The following is a list of churches in Adelaide, capital of South Australia. Historically, Adelaide has been known as a City of Churches, largely arising from its history of settlement. In contrast to the other States of Australia, South Australia was established as a free province on the Wakefieldian principle of systematic colonisation. It was to be a pious and civilised settlement in which persons fleeing religious persecution in Europe would find safe haven.
