List of Xiaolin Showdown episodes
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Xiaolin Showdown is an animated television series that originally aired between 2003 and 2006 in the United States. These episodes are listed in the order of their production number with the date that they originally aired on Kids' WB. What happens in one episode will generally affect the next one and there is often a teaser at the end of the episode that foreshadows what happens on the next. Both seasons 1 and 2 have ended with a cliffhanger episode in which one of the four Xiaolin apprentices have joined the forces of evil, (Season 1: Raimundo to Wuya, Season 2: Omi to Chase Young). Season 3 had no cliffhanger, but there were episodes in which Xiaolin became Heylin or vice versa within an episode, either due to a strategem or from the effects of timeline alterations in the two-part season-ending episode Time After Time.
In the episode Time After Time (2) everything that happened in the episode hints that this episode is the last one of the Xiaolin Showdown series; eg. a big musical finish with the 4 monks and all the villains they have ever faced waiting outside the Temple, and most Warner Brothers animation shows usually last only 52 episodes, such as Batman Beyond, Static Shock, and ¡Mucha Lucha!. Despite this, on the 25 April, Kids WB announced that Xiaolin Showdown will be featured in their Fall line-up, so a new season may be in the works.[1] One possible explanation for the "finality" of the episodes is that they were scripted when series renewal was still uncertain, so the writers drafted a story that concluded most of the story lines (The episode Time After Time (1) was originally going to be the season 3 finale). But according to a Kids WB commercial, a new season will appear on September 23, 2006 but was not shown in a commercial showing the rest of the new shows and episodes. Similarly, Johnny Test was not shown in that commercial and was given its own commercial for a new season.
