This is a list of episodes from the 1992 X-Men animated series. X-Men animated series started on Fox Network on October 31, 1992. It became popular and ran for five seasons, however, the show was canceled in 1997 after the episode "Graduation Day".

	The X-Men go to the space station to stop Erik the Red from killing the astronauts. When they are returning, they head straight for an energy wave. Jean pilots the shuttle while the others sit in a chamber where they are protected from radiation.

	Beacuse of the radiation, Jean Gray is possessed by the Phoenix. She faints and ends up in a hospital. Meanwhile, Professor Xavier's evil side takes over and tries to kill the X-Men. After Xavier is back to normal, he goes to Muir Island, where an alien named Lilandra comes to him for help in defeating her evil brother.

	Part three begins with Juggernaut and Black Tom Cassidy kidnapping Lilandra. Professor X calls the X-men and they, accompanied by Banshee, go to Cassidy Keep to save Lilandra. Here they are met by Gladiator. They have hard time defeating him, but Jean Gray becomes Phoenix and helps.

	Starjammers steal the M'Kraan crystal from the X-men in order to give it to Lilandra's brother. They trade it so that they will get close enough to kill him, but they are double-crossed. D'Ken unleashes the crystal's power and becomes stronger.

	D'Ken gets sucked inside the crystal, and becomes one with the universe inside it. Later, Phoenix fixes the crystal and traps D'ken in it. To truly contain the power of the crystal, and make sure it is never released again, she takes it beyond the reach of any living being, to the heart of the Sun. The Phoenix then goes inside the Sun to bury the crystal forever and is consumed. After this, Lilandra becomes empress of Shi'ar and goes back to her home world to rebuild everything that her brother destroyed. The Phoenix Saga ends at the part where Cyclops stands at the Cassidy Castle mourning Jean's death.
