List of United States Numbered Highways
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This list of United States Numbered Highways is grouped by the one- or two-digit "parent" highway.
An asterisk * denotes three-digit highways whose route number is in "violation" of the usual AASHTO numbering scheme and thus these three-digit highways are not children of the 1- or 2-digit parent highways their numbering would otherwise imply. NB: U.S. Route 101 at the far west of the grid, in California, is considered part of the basic gridwork of two-digit routes.
(d) denotes US Highways that have been decommissioned (sometimes replaced by Interstate Highways).
(ns) denotes US Highways that were never signed as such.
A handful of 2-digit numbers have never been assigned to a US Highway route.[1]
